Gathered in Biarritz for their parliamentary days, the Republican deputies and senators are working to prepare for their return to the National Assembly and the Senate.

The opportunity for the candidates for the presidency of the party to continue their campaign for the election which will take place at the beginning of December.

The parliamentary days of the Republicans in Biarritz began this Thursday and continue this Friday.

LR deputies and senators are working together to prepare for their return to the National Assembly and the Senate.

It is also an opportunity to see the three candidates for the presidency of the party, Éric Ciotti, Bruno Retailleau and Aurélien Pradié.

Despite the stated desire not to attack each other, everyone is playing their part in view of the election which will take place at the beginning of December.

Claim the support of elected officials or activists

Gathered at the Palais des Congrès with a view of the Atlantic, the LR parliamentarians want to surf on the result of the legislative elections to weigh as much as possible in the Assembly.

But behind the scenes, the party presidency occupies most of the conversations.

Everyone highlights their strengths, Bruno Retailleau casually claims the support of elected officials.

"We are in Biarritz, Maider Arosteguy supports me, other elected officials too ... Julien Aubert joined my candidacy this week alongside François-Xavier Bellamy, Othman Nasrou, each other is positioning themselves."

As Éric Ciotti relies directly on the activists: "Those who vote are the activists and no one else. And I know that there is confidence among the activists, strong for my candidacy."

Finally, Aurélien Pradié skipped the meeting called by Annie Genevard to try to convince the three suitors not to make waves.

The deputy of Lot organizes a press conference on the sidelines, and although aware of his lack of notoriety, he clearly displays his ambitions.

"We are going to convince the members one by one. We know how to do it, it will be with our teeth, we will go and get them as we did for our voters."

Thursday evening, the three suitors dined together, but each closer to his supporters.

At Les Républicains, the race for the presidency is officially launched.
