President Yoon Seok-yeol ordered the Ministry of Justice to supplement the 'Stalking Prevention Act' in relation to the stalking and murder case that occurred at Sindang Station in Seoul today (16th), saying, "Do not allow these crimes to take place."

President Yoon met with reporters on the way to the presidential office in Yongsan this morning and mentioned the incident first, saying, "The report on the stalking and murder of a station employee at Shindang Station is giving a big shock to the people."

He continued, "Last year, the Anti-Stalking Act was enacted and enforced, but there were many criticisms that it was insufficient to protect victims. I was told to do my best,” he said.

Earlier, on the 14th, in the bathroom of Sindang Station on Seoul Subway Line 2, a female station worker in her 20s who was on patrol was murdered by a stalker's knife.
