Easy requirements for obtaining a 5-year tourist visa in the UAE
The UAE has allowed foreigners of all nationalities to apply for a multiple-entry tourist visa valid for five years from the date of issuance, without the requirement of a guarantor or host within the country, provided they stay in the country for a period not exceeding 90 days per year.
The new executive regulation for the entry and residence of foreigners, which will come into force on the third of next October, sets four requirements for obtaining this visa.
First: Provide proof of a bank balance of (4000) dollars or its equivalent in foreign currencies during the last six months preceding the submission of the application.
Second: Pay the prescribed fee and financial guarantee.
Third: health insurance.
Fourth: A copy of the passport and a personal color photograph.
She indicated several advantages granted by this visa, which is that it allows the beneficiary to stay in the country for a continuous period not exceeding 90 days, and it may be extended for a similar period, provided that the entire period of stay does not exceed 180 days in one year.
It is also permissible to extend the period of stay in the country for a period of more than 180 days per year in exceptional cases to be determined by a decision issued by the head of the Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security.
The regulation introduced several visitor visas, and determines the visitor’s stay for the purpose of his coming to the country, as determined by the authority in this regard, and in all cases the period of stay should not exceed a year, with the need to meet the prescribed fee and guarantee, and part of the month is considered a month in determining the value of the fee It is permissible to extend the visit visa for a similar period or periods, by a decision of the head of the authority or his authorized representative, if the seriousness of the reason for the extension is established and the fees due have been paid.
The entry visa for a visit is valid to enter the country for a period of 60 days from the date of its issuance, and it can be renewed for similar periods after paying the prescribed fee.
The digital government stated that the UAE issues single or multiple-entry tourist visas, as the short-term tourist visa allows staying in the country for 30 days, while the long-term tourist visa allows for a stay of 90 days, and the single tourist visa can be extended twice without the need to leave the country.
And she advised, before applying for a tourist visa to the UAE, to make sure that the person may not need it if he was one of the nationalities eligible to obtain an entry visa upon arrival in the UAE, or to enter without a visa at all.
According to the decision of the Council of Ministers, tourists are allowed to obtain a fee-free entry visa for their children under the age of eighteen.
