The accident must have occurred in connection with take-off and landing practice, when the aircraft suffered some type of breakdown.

At an early stage, the pilot's condition was deemed not to be life-threatening.

Now, more than three months later, the pilot's wife confirms that the man has died.

He was 83 years old.

- He suffered head injuries, neck and sternum injuries.

He has struggled all summer, you could say, then he got worse, she says.

Fully healthy before the accident

The man was in hospital for over a month and was later moved to short-term accommodation.

Before the plane crash, Ulla-Britt Ohlsson describes her husband as perfectly healthy.

- No one knows what happened.

He couldn't account for it.

It was a black hole for him, she says.

She tells him that the man took pilot training in the late 50s and that he has been flying at hobby level since then.

- He was interested in flying.

He was like that all his life, she says.

The National Accident Commission is investigating the cause of the accident.

Hallands Nyheter was the first to report on the man's death.
