A large fire broke out a few hours ago in the building of a large telecommunication company in Hunan Province, southern China.

In the 42-story building, the fire spreads when there are many people coming and going, and there is a concern about the loss of life.

Suddenly, flames shoot up from the lower floors of the skyscraper, and in an instant, the flames spread through the outer walls of the building to the upper floors.



Before long, the entire building was engulfed in thick smoke and flames, and debris fell to the ground.



Videos taken inside the building at the time of the fire are also being uploaded on social media.

The fire broke out today (16th) around 3:50 pm.



The building that caught fire is the Changsha city headquarters of China Telegraph, one of China's three major telecommunication companies, built in 2000.



It has 42 stories above the ground and 2 stories below the ground, reaching a height of 218 meters.

Dozens of fire engines and hundreds of rescuers were dispatched to the scene.



Rescue operations are ongoing, but Chinese authorities have not disclosed specific damage, including casualties.
