Steven is one of those who have waited since Tuesday evening to be able to reflect for a few moments in front of the coffin of Elizabeth II, which sits in the center of Westminster Abbey.

At the exit of the building, some are still wiping their tears.

Laura arrived at night and waited almost 8 hours.

"It's very moving inside, the atmosphere is solemn and respectful, I'm honored to have been able to see the queen, it was worth the wait.

Alone, with family or friends, everyone came to experience a historic moment.

Coming from Cambridge, Caroline "had heart palpitations" when entering the premises, she confides to us, "It's really the last goodbye and we realize that all of this is real".

Londoner Mary “took a deep breath and then said a prayer”, her voice trembling, Catherina added: “There are no words to describe this experience.

Everyone will experience it differently but it will be etched in us forever.

Over the next four days, at least 750,000 people will say "goodbye" to the Queen.

"It's about showing that we will never forget everything she has done for us."
