The Health Care Accountability Board (HSAN) believes that the psychiatrist exposed ten patients to serious risks after prescribing large amounts of narcotic preparations to them in partially dangerous combinations.

A combination of preparations is said to pose a high risk of the patient suffering from respiratory depression, unconsciousness and death.

One of the patients had the opportunity to withdraw 32 medications.

The psychiatrist has also for 20 years prescribed several medications to himself, including sleeping pills in doses above the recommended ones.

Assesses the psychiatrist as grossly incompetent

According to the committee, the documentation about the patients and follow-up of the medication was "very deficient".

HSAN assesses the psychiatrist as both grossly incompetent and clearly unfit.

The psychiatrist believes that his treatments have worked and that no patient has been dissatisfied.
