418 deputies voted in favor of the resolution, four voted against, and 15 abstained.

The document notes that Poland "never received compensation for the numerous human and material losses caused by the German state," and also "never renounced claims against the German state."

Earlier, the leader of Poland's ruling Law and Justice party, Jarosław Kaczynski, said Poland would demand 6.2 trillion złoty (about $1.3 trillion) from Germany in reparations for damages resulting from World War II.

After that, the German Foreign Ministry replied that the issue of paying reparations to Poland for World War II was closed for Germany.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz noted that the issue of reparations to Poland is regulated by international law.
