The center had a hard time in Sörmland, apart from in Oxelösund where the party advanced and increased by 0.1 percentage points and today collects 3.3 percent of the voters.

In other municipalities it went the other way and the party lost voters.

The largest decrease occurred in Gnesta, where the party lost 3.9 percentage points.

Compared to other municipalities, Gnesta is nevertheless the municipality in the county where the party has the greatest influence, as the Center received 12.2 percent of the votes there.

The party backed down by less than half a percentage point in the municipality.

- It is, of course, disappointing, he says.

Arne Jonsson states that the party stuck to its core values and that this may have had a negative impact on the outcome of the election.

- It is very tempting to entice, as in other parties, with simple solutions to difficult problems.

But that's not what we do in the Center Party.

And then it may cost a lot, but it will pay off in the long run, he says.
