At 05:45 on Wednesday morning, the police were alerted to a suspected explosion on Kungsgatan in central Uppsala.
Once on the spot, it was established that there had been a shooting.
- I cannot go into what findings we have made now.
It is very early in the preliminary investigation and we are still awaiting a technical investigation, says Tobias Ahlén-Svalbro.
The police do not know if anyone was injured in the shooting, nor have any suspects been arrested.
