The residents of Halmstad had to vote whether or not a hotel with a restaurant and sales hall should be built at Österskans.

It was the first ever local referendum in Halmstad.

In Trelleborg, residents had to vote on whether they wanted a western or eastern harbor entrance, while residents in Söderhamn had to vote on two things: whether the municipality should allow wind power at Storgrundet and whether wind power should be allowed at all in the municipality's territorial water area.

At the last parliamentary election, there were four referendums in Sweden.

Last year, a non-election year, there were a total of seven.

In the video above you can see the results in two of the votes, the third has not yet been counted.
