A day with changes especially in front of the Milan stock exchange.
The Ftse Mib index this morning was the only one in Europe with the plus sign.
It then fell below par for about two hours and returned positive, + 0.32%, after the launch of Wall Street.
London and Frankfurt, on the other hand, fell by just over one per cent in mid-afternoon, while American stock exchanges rose slightly;
Dow Jones + 0.15%, Nasdaq + 0.36%.
Above all, it is a two-sided day.
Banks are up a lot, weighing more in Milan than in the rest of Europe on the stock exchange index: + 1.32% for the banking sector index.
On the other hand, most of the other sectors, such as utilities (-0.73%) and industrial stocks (-0.60%), were down.
These are still the opposite reflections of the ECB rate hike last Thursday and the expectation of new hikes, after yesterday's data above the American inflation expectations.
On the raw materials front, the price of gas returns well above 200 euros per megawatt hour.
The October future is trading at € 212, + 6.8% compared to yesterday.
