In Shizuoka Prefecture, following an incident in which a 3-year-old girl was left on a school bus and died of heat stroke, Minister of State for the Declining Birthrate Ogura requested that childcare providers make safety devices mandatory for school buses. In response to this, he emphasized that he would compile measures to prevent a recurrence within the next month and hasten to take countermeasures.

On the 14th, Mr. Ogura, the minister in charge of the declining birthrate, exchanged opinions with people involved in organizations such as nursery schools and certified children's centers.

Among them, Hiroki Komazaki, director of the National Small Childcare Council, said in response to the incident in Shizuoka Prefecture that a 3-year-old girl died of heat stroke after being left in a school bus, ``The site is working hard to protect the safety of the child. However, human error will inevitably occur, so I would like you to make it obligatory to install a device to prevent people from leaving things unattended.”

In response, Minister Ogura said, ``No matter where the children are, we must ensure the safety of the shuttle bus. We must also eliminate the concerns of parents. The mental stress of the employees who received this accident must be resolved as soon as possible."

After that, he said, "In October, I would like to compile measures to prevent recurrence, including how to prevent human error, and establish a thorough system."
