“Governor Pritzker today declared a state of emergency and deployed about 75 members of the Illinois National Guard to provide all state resources needed to support refugees,” RIA Novosti quoted an official statement.

The authorities of the region specify that the emergency regime is necessary to provide support for migrants in transportation, accommodation, medical examinations and other assistance.

"While other states treat these families like bargaining chips, Illinois will treat them like people," Gov. Pritzker said.

More than 500 migrants have arrived in Chicago, according to the governor.

In August, the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, refused the Washington mayor's office to help the National Guard with the reception of illegal migrants.

The Washington Times journalist Don Feder previously spoke of signs of a "looming collapse" in the US, among which he cited elite efforts to promote an open door policy for migrants.
