- The Left and the Green Party are my first choices.

But we have invited several parties to talks, says Malin Lauber (S), who wants to take the most important position in Växjö politics - as chairman of the municipal board.

The Moderates have held that position for 16 years - and Anna Tenje (M), who sits in that seat today, would like to stay.

But since neither the left nor the alliance bloc can create a majority, they have to piece together a minority government or build new alliances.

SVT asked the politicians to piece together their plans.

S – builds the largest minority

The Social Democrats grew in the election, and together with V and MP can build the municipality's largest minority.

In addition, Malin Lauber hopes to find cooperation, or passive support from one or some of the alliance parties.

Closest to hand are the Liberals and the Center Party.

- Of course, I think it's easier to talk to them.

But I want a majority here, says Malin Lauber.

However, conversation or cooperation with the Sweden Democrats is completely excluded.

M: "We talk to everyone"

But according to Anna Tenje, the alliance between M, KD, C, and L is still intact and she wants to create a minority government.

The strength, she believes, is that the moderates can talk to everyone - even SD - and therefore they are best equipped to get their policy and budget through.

- If you manage to get the support of more parties, you have succeeded.

That's when you can govern a municipality.
