23.5 percent of the votes in Heby compared to 9.4 percent in Uppsala.

This is how the highest and lowest election results for SD look like in Uppsala County.

- Of course it feels very fun.

I think there is dissatisfaction among the voters about how the municipality has been managed and it feels good to have a greater influence, says Mattias Widén (SD), the party's top name in Heby.

Larger than L and C

Group leader Kent Kumpula does not see the fact that the lowest number of votes is received in Uppsala as particularly surprising.

- We are strongest in rural areas.

Then Uppsala is a student town and the Sweden Democrats are weaker there because student towns are much more left-leaning than the rest of the country.

The fact is, however, that SD is increasing - also in Uppsala.

Albeit with only 0.3 percentage points - but it is enough to overtake the Liberals and the Center Party, which has decreased since the last election.

- I think our role will grow in the future.

If there is a change of government, you need our support, says Kent Kumpula.
