When the votes were counted in the polling stations on election day, the so-called preliminary vote count, there were around 2,700 invalid votes in Kronoberg county and just over 3,200 in Kalmar county.

Most of the invalid votes are blank votes.

In Kronoberg county it is about 1918 and in Kalmar county about 2388, at the preliminary vote count.
