King Charles III and members of the royal family welcomed the coffin of the late Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, after tens of thousands of people lined the streets in torrential rain to witness its arrival in London.

The coffin of Queen Elizabeth II arrived from Edinburgh, Scotland, to London, where it will remain until the royal funeral next Monday.

The coffin of the late queen will be buried at Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the British monarch, until next Wednesday, before being transferred in a funeral procession to Westminster, the seat of Parliament.

The coffin will remain there for 4 days, during which fans will have the opportunity to say goodbye to the late queen before she is buried.

The depositors had the opportunity to look at the casket in the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, for 24 hours.

It is noteworthy that Elizabeth II died last Thursday at her home in Balmoral in the Scottish Highlands, at the age of 96, after a rule that lasted 70 years, which sparked feelings of sadness in the country.
