A new system for monitoring school buses in Ajman using artificial intelligence
The Ajman Transport Authority has implemented a new monitoring mechanism for school buses, with the aim of achieving the highest levels of student safety for different age groups. The Transport Authority is keen to make student transportation safe through periodic inspection of the validity of electronic school permits to achieve the vision of the Emirate of Ajman.
Executive Director of the Public Transport and Permits Agency, Sami Ali Al Jallaf, said that a new system has been implemented to monitor expired permits or operate any vehicle in the school transport activity without obtaining a permit through the SWIFT digital system. Ease according to the highest standards of distinguished government services.
He explained that this mechanism has been implemented since the beginning of this year, as it relies on modern and innovative technology, and the inspector was able to verify the existence of a valid permit for the school bus, and the inspector’s tasks are based on making sure that there is a supervisor on the bus while transporting students, operating the electronic arm, and making sure Providing the bus with cameras and their effectiveness inside and outside the bus, in addition to the importance of having a first aid kit and other basic specifications.
This mechanism contributed to the automation of all violations of school transport in the emirate, including violations;
Driving a school bus by an unauthorized driver, operating any vehicle in the school transport activity without a permit, not operating the electronic parking arm of the school bus while it is stopping for students to get on or off, and violating the school bus in the absence of any of the conditions of the internal or external specifications of the bus Approved by the Transport Authority.
He stated that the system is applied to all school bus permits operating in the Emirate of Ajman, in order to ensure the highest levels of safety in the school transport system. .
Al-Jallaf stated that a school bus driver or supervisor permit is obtained after passing the prescribed training programs to ensure their readiness to work in school transport and their readiness for the new year.
The training programs include several main axes related to the safety of transporting male and female students inside the school bus, as well as at the disembarkation areas of students during the trip, and conducting pre-trip checks to ensure the safety of the school bus to transport students, by following the bus technical service schedule such as oil change, preventive maintenance, informing The company operating any malfunction before starting the school transport trip, in addition to informing the driver and supervisor of their duties and responsibilities and making the safety of students a priority.
The training programs aim to make school bus drivers and supervisors qualified to deal with emergencies during their work as they are trained in the proper use of fire extinguishers and the process of evacuating students, in addition to first aid and fire prevention.
