The Social Democrats in Olofström risk ending up in opposition for the first time in modern times after losing two mandates.

The Center Party will now have an absolutely decisive role in how the municipality is to be governed for the next four years, depending on whether the party chooses to align itself to the left or to the right.

- We need to have a talk in our own party about what happened before we contact other parties, says Ola Claesson, chairman of S in Olofström.

L and MP go out

The Liberals made a weak election in Blekinge and risk leaving both Region Blekinge and the municipal council in Sölvesborg.

The same fate seems to await the Green Party, which looks set to lose both of its mandates in the municipal council in Karlskrona.

At the same time, Medborgerlig samling enters the county and looks set to get two mandates in the municipal council in Karlshamn.

SD wants to govern in Ronneby

It looks like there will be a new form of government in Ronneby, even though the votes were distributed in a similar way compared to the last election.

The Sweden Democrats' group leader, Nicolas Westrup, tells SVT Nyheter Blekinge that the party is no longer content to be the wave master, but wants to govern the municipality together with the former alliance.
