The chairman of the municipal board in Oxelösund, Catharina Fredriksson (S), tells SVT on Monday afternoon that she is now preparing for a majority change.

M: 72-year long era over

This after election night's big scene change in the distribution of mandates when the Moderates won three mandates and the Social Democrats lost two.

This means that the opposition councilor Dag Bergentoft (M) now, via still unclear collaborations, looks to be able to form a governing majority.

According to Bergentoft, it is the first time since 1950, when the city of Oxelösund was formed, that the municipality will be governed in a way other than with the Social Democrats as the largest party.

SD is also moving forward

The Left Party also backs down and loses a mandate in the council, while SD moves forward and wins a mandate.

Both L and KD stand still on their respective mandates.

However, everything is very even and the last votes are counted on Wednesday before a definitive result is presented.
