Paco Arango's fourth film project,

My Other Jon,

will feature the presence of Mariano Rajoy.

The former Prime Minister, who

is making his debut in the world of acting , has agreed, as

Ana Obregón

and

Macarena Gómez

have done in a special way

, to appear in the new film which, like the previous ones by this director, have a beneficial purpose.

My other Jon

, which finished shooting on September 3 in La Palma, to raise funds to improve the lives of cancer patients and help those affected by the eruption of the volcano, features

Carmen Maura, Olivia Molina, Fernando Albizu and Carlos Santos

as protagonists of the film and that also has the participation of

Aitana Sánchez Gijón, Marisol Ayuso, María José Alfonso, María Luisa Merlo and Enrique Villén.

The also president of the Fundación Aladina, Paco Arango, has raised more than 7 million euros with his three previous films:

Maktub, Lo Que De Verdad Importa (The Healer)

and

Los Rodríguez y el Más Allá.

My other Jon

, whose filming has been carried out for seven intense weeks in Madrid and La Palma, was born from a story invented by Arango himself in order to humorously alleviate the pain suffered by his 88-year-old mother.

Mariano Rajoy on the set of My other Jon. THE WORLD

The story was that you could rent other bodies, dodge the pain, and be able to do crazy things for a few days.

"Unfortunately mom,

they only have the body of a Basque truck driver left

and it didn't seem very appropriate for you...".

In addition to making his mother smile, Arango, without knowing it, began to develop the script for his fourth film, as explained by his communication agency.

Carmen Maura

plays Merche, a woman who, at the news of her serious illness, decides to fulfill her last wishes, such as seeing the sea, and to do so she decides to invite her daughter Rocío (Olivia Molina) to the island of La Palma.

Merche's health worsens and when they see that it is not feasible to travel to the island, they receive the surprising news that an eccentric scientist (

Aitana Sánchez Gijón

) has managed to transmute the soul of an elderly person into the corpse of a recently deceased for three days to fulfill any dream.

Merche will get inside the

only available corpse: a big 58-year-old Basque truck driver

(Fernando Albizu) to start a crazy adventure.
