After the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, many college freshmen will complete military training, end the ignorance period of newcomers, and start a new life in the "ivory tower".

A few years of college is a coming-of-age ceremony, and it is also an "internship period" from the campus to the social classroom.

How you spend your time in college may well determine the quality and direction of life in the decades that follow.

According to official survey data, 48.6% of the respondents believe that colleges and universities "determine the starting point of struggle"; 33.8% of the respondents feel that how to go to university affects their way of graduation more than what university they go to; only 8.8% of the respondents think It is believed that college schools directly determine the way forward.

Chu Zhaohui, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Education Sciences, believes that personal future development is directly related to the study situation after entering the university.

Therefore, after entering the university, students should establish new life goals and make future plans according to their own advantages.

That is to say, from the day I was admitted to the university, all the past is a prologue.

24-year-old associate professor employed in Beijing 211 University; after graduating from a "technical school", he entered an institution affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Sciences to engage in research and development... Many examples tell us that no matter the school is good or bad, the starting point is not high or low. "Fengshen" also has experience to follow.

The country is a through train with you, talk to those "cow" people we can "become", and listen to the experience.

After all, in the university of life, it is never too late to start.

It's normal to be confused, and strive for "good things"

Just entering the freshman year, many newcomers will suddenly find that their majors are "unsatisfactory": they are not what they want, and it seems that they will be useless in the future.

For such "confusion", Hou Taogang, who was admitted to a prestigious school at the age of 16 and graduated with a doctorate at the age of 24, became an associate professor at a 211 University in Beijing, and engaged in the research and teaching of "transmedia aircraft". He shared his experience: the school should be used as a platform to actively and extensively seek for one's own interests and majors that suit him, and work hard on the points of interest.

Going abroad for exchanges, postgraduate research, doctoral studies, and being a professor, Hou Taogang did not miss a single "good thing" during school.

He suggested that all kinds of competitions, clubs, student unions, insurance research, and overseas exchange opportunities in the school must be actively pursued.

Hou Tao actively participated in the "Feng Ru Cup" Grand Prix of Beihang University in his freshman year, won the first prize, and obtained the qualification for postgraduate research in his freshman year.

Hou Taogang believes that participating in student unions and clubs can not only exercise communication, expression, and organizational skills, which are important bonus points when applying for a job, but also have more opportunities to come into contact with more meaningful information.

In his senior year, Hou Taogang won the opportunity to study and exchange in the "Industrial Robot" research group of the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Tsukuba, Japan.

During this period, he not only successfully completed his academic tasks, but also achieved the "miracle" of completing the main subject defense in Japanese within half a year.

Most importantly, Hou Taogang reminded college students not to indulge in games.

When he was a part-time counselor, he found that every year, students were eventually dropped out of school because of their addiction to games.

"Complete some small goals first"

Chen Heng graduated from the technician class of Shenzhen Technician College. During his school days, he won the first prize of the China Skills Competition "Robot Fitting and Intelligent Processing Unit". R&D work related to electrical automation such as industrial robots.

Chen Heng introduced in an interview with China News Agency Guoshi Express that when he first entered the Technician College, he felt that graduation was an ordinary "blue-collar" job, and he was not very interested.

However, after entering the Shenzhen Technician College to study industrial robotics, he found that the school is "unusual". The school cooperates with industry leading companies to run schools, and the teaching and training equipment is in line with the forefront of the industry. Professional teachers have many years of corporate work experience, and teaching is practical The way of project or product allows oneself to learn a lot of practical techniques, and hands-on skills also advance by leaps and bounds.

In addition to completing classroom tasks, Chen Heng joined a professional skills club in the school. There are many equipments in the club to operate and do experiments.

By inquiring about the information and using the club's equipment, I can gradually "make a little thing". The more I study, the more energetic I am. I have confirmed in my study that "intelligent robot development and debugging" is my interest.

Chen Heng said that looking at the happiness and sense of achievement of the intelligent robot he made, "it is more addictive and unstoppable", which is incomparable to the little happiness brought by playing games.

Many successful students in vocational colleges

Taking Shenzhen Technician College as an example, graduates are booked by employers one year in advance, and the employment rate is close to 100%. Most of the graduates work in well-known enterprises in the industry and achieve high-quality employment.

Some students with outstanding academic performance and outstanding skills can receive more than 10,000 yuan in wages during their internships.

Wen Ping, director of the Academic Affairs Office of Shenzhen Technician College, said in an interview with China News Service Guoshi Express that in order to further improve the quality of talent training, the school's communication network major introduced Huawei's HCIA-WLAN engineer certification system, integrating Huawei certification content into classroom teaching and training. In the assessment and evaluation, since 2019, 95% of the graduates majoring in communication network have obtained the Huawei HCIA certificate, 30% have obtained the HCIP certificate, and 15% have obtained the HCIE certificate, which is an expert-level certificate, which greatly improves their employment competitiveness.

Students who have passed the expert-level certification usually get offers from multiple Huawei ecosystem companies when they participate in the Huawei ICT dual-selection meeting, and the internship salary can reach about 10,000 yuan.
