SVT's polling station survey provides a forecast for how Swedes have voted, and is based on interviews with over 11,000 voters during election day and early voting.

In the forecast, the Social Democrats will be the largest party with 29.3 percent of the votes. The Sweden Democrats are the second largest party with 20.5 percent and the Moderates the third largest with 18.8 percent.

SD was the second largest party also in the 2018 polling station survey, but M was bigger than SD when the election results were clear.

Henrik Vinge (SD) does not want to withdraw anything in advance.

- It's a shocker.

It will be even to the last, you shouldn't withdraw anything in advance, these are just surveys, he says at the party's election vigil.

If this is the final election result, SVT's internal politics commentator Mats Knutson believes that M leader Ulf Kristersson will not be able to remain in office.

At the same time, Knutson says:

- It is far from decided, we can get an election result that deviates significantly from this.

Extremely even between the government alternatives

It is incredibly even between the government alternatives in SVT's Valu.

The Social Democrats, the Green Party, the Left Party and the Center Party get a narrow majority.

The parties gather 49.8 percent of the votes in the forecast, 0.6 percentage points more than the Moderates, the Christian Democrats, the Liberals and the Sweden Democrats.

In SVT's Valu, Andersson's government base gets a narrow majority with 176 seats.

The moderates, the Christian Democrats, the Liberals and the Sweden Democrats get 173 seats in the forecast.

There has been jubilation at the Social Democrats' election vigil, but the Social Democrats' party secretary Tobias Baudin is not charging anything in advance.

- We will wait for the result later this evening, says the Social Democrats' party secretary Tobias Baudin.
