Two men were arrested and taken into police custody on Thursday as part of an investigation into a burglary and the rape of a 19-year-old young woman in Maisons-Alfort (Val-de-Marne).

On August 27, the victim surprised two intruders in his home, recalls Le Parisien.

If she had managed to put one of the thieves to flight, the second would have threatened her with a knife before sexually assaulting her.

The main suspect of the rape was questioned Thursday in the premises of the sub-directorate of the judicial police (SDPJ).

Aged in his twenties, he had recently been imprisoned on another conviction.

Video surveillance and DNA analyzes have made it possible to trace the trail of this man known for aggravated thefts.

In a state of shock

The young woman had been taken care of in a state of shock by the emergency services.

She was taken immediately to the hospital to take the first samples.

The tenant's personal effects had been stolen by the two criminals, such as a computer, a telephone and a coffee machine.
