- In most municipalities, early voting is greater this year than it was before, and for several municipalities, more people have already voted early than was done in total at the last election, says Hanna Odén, election coordinator, County Administrative Board Västmanland.

New rules in the polling station

For this election, some new rules have been introduced in the polling stations.

Among other things, a voter must be able to stand and select ballot papers completely separately.

This has resulted in some queues, something that the election officer in Västerås confirms.

- There will be much more queues with the new rules, we will see queues both in the early voting and on election day, says Mikael Skogås (S), election coordinator for the city of Västerås and candidate for the municipal council in Västerås.
