The Ukrainian military, due to heavy losses, did not carry out offensive operations in the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog direction during the day.

“In the Nikolaev-Kryvyi Rih direction, due to heavy losses in the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which formed the basis of the strike force, no offensive operations were carried out by Ukrainian troops,” said Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, during a briefing.

At the same time, as a result of high-precision strikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces, missile forces and artillery in this direction, an ammunition depot was destroyed, a Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force was shot down, command posts of the 63rd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, manpower and military equipment of the 46th airmobile, 57 -th motorized infantry and 28th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In total, the Ukrainian army lost two tanks, six infantry fighting vehicles and five other armored vehicles, seven pickup trucks with heavy machine guns and more than 190 military personnel over the past day in the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog direction.

“As a result of heavy losses from concentrated fire strikes by the Russian armed forces on the positions of the 59th motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Ukrainka, Zeleny Gay and Novohryhorivka of the Nikolaev region, Ukrainian military personnel refused to carry out combat missions and began an unauthorized retreat to the rear areas,” the representative added. defense department.

At the same time, up to 120 Ukrainian servicemen, 15 units of armored and motor vehicles were destroyed by high-precision strikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces on the points of temporary deployment of units of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade and the 81st Airborne Brigade in the DPR.

In addition, during air strikes, missile forces and artillery, five depots of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition, a launcher of the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system, a radar station for detecting and tracking air targets were destroyed, and five command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and 51 artillery unit, manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 167 districts.

In turn, air defense systems shot down 13 Ukrainian drones, one Tochka-U ballistic missile, and also intercepted 19 MLRS shells, 16 of them HIMARS.
