The National Police have arrested a driver and the two occupants of a rented refrigerated truck who allegedly

stabbed a pedestrian after a traffic dispute

that occurred last August in Moratalaz.

The victim, Jorge Renzo, 49, suffered three stab wounds to the back, arm and head.

The trapezius wound was 12 centimeters deep.

"I was barely saved, they were going to kill me. I don't understand the fury they showed me," says the victim.

The three arrested are of Colombian nationality

and are 50, 37 and 27 years old.

They are in an irregular situation in Spain and are accused of attempted murder.

One of them has a police record for drug dealing.

The man was transferred to the Gregorio Marañón hospital by Samur with a serious prognosis.

The events occurred at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, at number 49 of Vinateros de Moratalaz avenue when

a truck was about to run over a man and two women who were crossing the road with the green traffic light for pedestrians. and red for cars.

"We were coming from a nightclub and we were waiting for a traffic light to cross," recalls Jorge, born in Peru and a caretaker of a farm who has lived in Spain for 15 years.

"

When we were walking through the pedestrian crossing, a truck came and was about to hit us and I reproached him

," says the victim "I slapped the truck. My wife recorded a small video of the truck and I went out behind them saying: ' I already have you, I already have you', since we had recorded them and we had the license plate".

Instantly, the truck turned around and headed toward Jorge, his wife, and her friend.

"They went towards us. The three occupants got out and after an exchange of words they began to hit me. I defended myself well from the two and the other went towards the truck," explains the wounded man.

"Suddenly, my wife started screaming and I felt a knife from behind. The aggressor was the driver who

went to the vehicle for a long knife

and also stabbed me in the head and arm," Jorge continues.

The three assailants went back to the car and fled while Jorge lay on the ground losing a lot of blood.

"My wife immediately called the ambulances, which arrived very quickly. They only gave me 12 stitches in my back. They told me that they were going to kill me and that

if the wound had been deeper it could have been much worse

."

The National Police immediately found out that the three assailants' car was a rented truck carrying out an alleged job.

They managed to identify the vehicle and locate the three occupants a few days later.

They were arrested in the middle of last August and identified in a judicial lineup.

It is assumed that being in an irregular situation in Spain they lack a driving license and cannot work, so the agents continue with the inquiries.

After testifying before the judge,

the three were released with charges,

according to Jorge.

"I was very scared for a few days. I did not understand that violence against me, that fury that they saw. On top of that, one of them is very young and has a wife and children and I don't know how he can commit something like that," he adds, still concerned. Jorge.
