A few years ago, the Eskilstuna hotel was bought by the municipality.

This is because they wanted to have control over the area around Ekängen and the eastern entrance to Eskilstuna.

Sebastian Larsson has been thinking for some time that he wants to do something for his old hometown.

He therefore presented the idea of creating a football hall in Eskilstuna to his father Svante Larsson, who runs the Sebastian Larsson football academy.

Music and sports

But it didn't all end there.

After talks with Göran Pettersson, hotel and restaurant profile and Martin Roos, former manager of the pop group Kent, a completely new concept was developed with a sports and music hotel connected to the hall.

- Music and sports are an exciting combination, says Martin Roos.

Now everything has culminated in a declaration of intent with the municipality, where it is thought that the area where the Eskilstuna hotel and the golf club's old premises are located, will become the location for the project.

What remains is, among other things, a detailed plan and that land and a hotel will later be bought from the municipality.

Full size football pitch

- We expect that everything will land on an investment of between SEK 150 and 175 million.

Then we will have a fully developed and renovated hotel with 100 rooms and a hall with a full-sized football pitch with room for 1,000 people in the stands, says Göran Pettersson.

According to him, the football hall should be able to be divided into three smaller plans for, among other things, youth training.

In addition to football, the idea is that different types of events should be able to be arranged in the hall.

The three parties that came up with the idea will now also try to bring in other financiers who can help pay for the facility.

- We have stakeholders who want to be involved, says Göran Pettersson.

In the clip, Sebastian Larsson talks about who will be able to play in the new hall and why sport and music go hand in hand.
