“The best sons of the Chechen people went to the zone of the special military operation in the Donbass — the soldiers of two elite special units — the Sever regiment named after the Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov of the Federal Service for Military Guard of the Russian Federation and the South battalion of the Federal Service for Military Guard of the Russian Federation,” he wrote in Telegram.
Kadyrov added that Chechen military personnel as part of the allied forces would carry out the tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Earlier, the Russian leader, in congratulating the inhabitants of Chechnya on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the republic, noted the courage of the Chechens participating in the special operation in Ukraine.
