His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, witnessed yesterday the graduation ceremony of 26 members of the first and second batches of the "Dubai Future Experts Program" from 17 government agencies in the emirate.

His Highness said: "Today, I witnessed the graduation of a group of Emirati youth with the best future design skills within the Dubai Future Experts Program, and I was briefed on a set of projects and future scenarios that they worked to develop using innovative future skills and tools. We are proud of these Emirati energies that will employ their expertise in developing work. We are continuing the process of designing our future with the vision and directives of Mohammed bin Rashid.”

His Highness added: "Empowering national cadres with future skills is a major priority. Our confidence in their capabilities is unlimited. We await new achievements from them to be added to the ongoing achievements in Dubai."

The graduation ceremony was attended by Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, Abdullah Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of the Executive Council of Dubai, and Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation.

During the graduation ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was briefed on a set of projects and future scenarios designed and developed by members of the first and second batches of the Dubai Future Experts Program, which is supervised by the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai and the Dubai Future Foundation, including a research project prepared by him. Seven graduates who have successfully completed the advanced level of the first batch of the programme.

This joint project aims to foresee the future of seven vital sectors in order to enhance the role of their government agencies in supporting national efforts aimed at achieving the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for the future of Dubai and the UAE during the next fifty years.

His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai praised the efforts of the participants in the Dubai Future Experts Program, including affiliates, trainers, experts and academics from the UAE and the world, saying: “Promising experiences join today the elite of our young national cadres, who are able to foresee and design the future. Qualitative ideas and a comprehensive future outlook will produce many projects. future that will enhance Dubai’s leadership as a global center for future design.”

Participants of the second batch of the Dubai Future Experts Program presented to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, six research reports on various fields, including: the productive city, resilience in emergencies and crises, digital transformation, empowering governments, community cohesion, and the future of legislation. , in line with the efforts of the Executive Council of the Dubai Council to develop and implement the strategic plan for the Emirate of Dubai 2030. The affiliates also worked on preparing a set of future scenarios that keep pace with the expected changes during the next fifty years, including the success of one of the affiliates in predicting the announcement of a change in the weekly holiday system and working hours. in the UAE before it was officially announced.

In addition to these projects, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was briefed on a project developed by the Dubai Future Experts Program during the practical training stages with the aim of reviewing the most prominent factors, trends and major transformations that will determine the features of the future in Dubai during the next fifty years on its way to becoming the best cities The world is preparing for the future.

It is worth noting that the Dubai Future Experts Program includes two levels, each spanning six months.

A group of experts, scientists, entrepreneurs and CEOs from all over the world participate in preparing and presenting the program.

The first level includes five various courses within an intensive program that includes lectures, workshops and practical training on the mechanisms of diagnosing the culture of future foresight. Scenarios and future expectations” to introduce them to the various aspects related to the scenario planning process, and “master the forecasting process” to prepare a set of forward-looking scenarios for a group of vital sectors, and “apply the future on the ground” to familiarize participants with the importance of implementing visions and plans based on future foresight in various fields. and “telling future stories” to make a better impact in presenting data and information using an attractive and appropriate method, while participants at the advanced level work on developing future projects that contribute to enhancing the role of government agencies in which they work in achieving strategic and future plans inDubai.

The Dubai Future Experts Program, which is supervised by the Dubai Future Academy, contributes to developing the skills of the affiliates in the areas of strategic thinking, foresight and design of the future, the scientific, cultural and technological sectors, decision-making, the development of policies, laws and legislation, and the employment of various tools to identify opportunities to create new economic zones in the UAE in various sectors. .

 37 employees in 28 government agencies

Since its launch, the number of graduates of the Dubai Future Experts Program has reached 37 employees in 28 government agencies. They participated in 182 hours of study under the supervision of 24 international experts. They prepared 24 research reports using strategic foresight tools, and developed 128 future scenarios in various sectors to study the most important challenges and expected transformations. .

The third batch of the program is scheduled to be launched in the coming weeks, and this batch has attracted more than 800 applications for participation from senior and middle management employees in 37 government agencies in the Emirate of Dubai in more than 20 diverse vital fields, including the sector of government services, logistics, economy, technology, health, education, tourism and aviation and others.

The program provides 26 employees from 17 government agencies with the most important skills for future foresight and design.
