Rural roads have increased by more than 900,000 kilometers in ten years, and railway operating mileage has reached 150,000 kilometers

A mobile China shows prosperity and vitality

  Our reporter Xu Menglong

This past summer was a little special for Yu Yanqia, a Lisu girl.

After graduating from Kunming Medical University, she chose to return to work at the People's Hospital of Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province.

In the Hengduan Mountains at the junction of Yunnan and Tibet, the Nujiang River from north to south splits Gaoligong Mountain and Biluo Snow Mountain, dragging a deep Nujiang Grand Canyon.

Yu Yanqia's home is deep in the canyon in the Bu Shi Di Group in Bu La Village, Fugong County.

Fifteen years ago, Yu Yancha drew wide attention for being photographed ziplining across the river to go to school.

With the help of various forces, the local community raised millions of donations to build three love bridges in Nujiang, one of which was built next to the primary school where Yu Yanquan first attended.

Yu Youguang, an engineer from Fugong County Transportation Bureau, used to be a local zipline designer. In 2007, he participated in the construction of the Love Bridge.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the country has launched the project of changing the zipline to the bridge, and his work has become more and more busy.

"In the first batch of zip-line bridges, 7 bridges were built in Fugong. So far, 16 new bridges have been built, and there is a bridge over the river every two or three kilometers. I grew up in Fugong and watched it every day. , one thing a day, one thing a year." Yu Youguang said.

Over the past ten years, the central and local governments have invested nearly 3.4 billion yuan to implement the project of replacing ziplines with bridges, building 309 bridges and supporting 796 kilometers of connecting roads.

The project covers about 1,168 organic villages and 4,000 natural villages, benefiting a population of about 1.65 million.

The bridge is there, the road is open, and going out is no longer just a dream.

"When I was 8 years old, I learned to zipline across the river to go to school. I always thought that the world was like Bula Village until I walked on the bridge for the first time. Now, I have crossed a lot of bridges, The world is different." Yu Yancha said.

Yu Yancha witnessed China's miracle of poverty alleviation and the great achievements my country's transportation industry has made in the past ten years.

In the past ten years, changes like the banks of the Nu River have occurred in countless corners of China.

The Dulongjiang Highway Tunnel in Gaoligong Mountain was successfully completed, proclaiming that the history of Dulongjiang being blocked by heavy snow for half a year is gone forever; the Lalin Railway was put into operation, and the Fuxing train went to the snow-covered plateau, realizing 31 provinces and autonomous regions. Full coverage of the city; Yiruo Highway, which passes through the two unmanned areas, was officially opened to traffic, becoming the third major expressway entering and leaving Xinjiang after Beijing-Xinjiang Expressway and Lianhuo Expressway...

"If you want to be rich, build roads first." This sentence engraved in the minds of almost all Chinese people, no matter what age, shows great wisdom.

Data show that in the past decade, the rural road network has basically been formed, solving the problem of 1,040 townships and 105,000 organic villages connecting hard roads.

The total mileage of rural roads has increased from 3.564 million kilometers at the end of 2011 to 4.466 million kilometers at the end of 2021, a net increase of more than 900,000 kilometers in ten years.

Over the past ten years, the "Four Good Rural Roads" have played an important role in helping farmers get rid of poverty and become prosperous.

Roads are connected in series, bridges are erected, tunnels are connected, and the increasingly perfect transportation network connects villages of all sizes in my country, making the economy and people's livelihood in poverty-stricken areas prosper because of roads, and injecting into rural revitalization and high-quality economic and social development. The strong driving force provides a solid guarantee for serving the decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and building a modern economic system.

Just south of Tiananmen Square, 46 kilometers away, Beijing Daxing International Airport spreads its wings like a phoenix.

At noon, the sun shines brightly on the bronzed roof of the terminal.

Beijing Daxing International Airport has the largest single terminal building in the world, and the construction difficulty is rare in the world.

In 2021, the annual passenger throughput of Daxing Airport will exceed 25 million, and the number of flights will be about 210,000. .

Zhou Xiaoqi, deputy director of the Infrastructure Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, introduced that with the completion and operation of a number of major landmark projects such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Daxing International Airport, my country's key technologies in the field of transportation are also making breakthroughs.

Relevant technologies and equipment such as super-span bridges, super-long tunnels in mountain areas, submarine immersed tunnels, large-diameter shield tunnels and other related technologies and equipment have made continuous breakthroughs. A bright business card for achievement.

In the past ten years, my country's comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network has been accelerated, which has effectively promoted the smooth flow of domestic and international circulation.

We have built the world's largest high-speed railway network, expressway network, world-class port group, air and navigation access to the world, and the total mileage of the comprehensive transportation network has exceeded 6 million kilometers.

The mileage of railways and highways will be increased by about 1.1 million kilometers, which is equivalent to circling the earth's equator 27 and a half times.

The coverage rate of high-speed railways and expressways in cities with a population of more than 200,000 exceeds 95%.

A bridge from north to south, all the way to all directions.

Mobile China is full of vigor and vitality.
