Russia "regrets" the reluctance of the IAEA report on Zaporizhia to accuse Ukraine

The Russian ambassador to the United Nations regretted during a meeting of the UN Security Council on Tuesday that the International Atomic Energy Agency's report on Zaporizhia refrained from accusing Ukraine, which Moscow considers responsible for the bombing of the nuclear plant.

"We regret that the source of these bombings was not mentioned directly in your report," Vasily Nebenzia said, considering that the report, which was presented by the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency to the council remotely, is a "confirmation" that the "only threat" to this site comes from "bombing and sabotage operations." perpetrated by the Ukrainian armed forces.

Prior to that, the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, denounced via video that the station's safety was constantly being "violated", considering it "unacceptable" for the site to be targeted and calling for the establishment of a "security zone" there.

"We are playing with fire," Grossi warned.
