SNCF has detailed the options offered to football players for their travels across France.

The railway company follows the scandal caused by Christophe Galtier and Kylian Mbappé who laughed at a question from a journalist about the ecological impact of their private jet travel.

The SNCF offers à la carte formulas for the travel of professional football players.

The buzz generated by the laughter of Paris Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier and his player Kylian Mbappé at a press conference on Monday, when asked about their private jet trips for short trips to the detriment of the train, revived the question ecological responsibility for football stars.

This ranges from the privatization of part of a TGV, of two or three cars, to the complete privatization of the train.

SNCF has a dedicated service that can meet the needs of a club like PSG.

First on security, with the provision of railway security officers to avoid any movement of the crowd in the station - which can easily be imagined with stars like Lionel Messi or Kylian Mbappé.

But also by organizing the departure from a platform a little away, like in hall 3 of Gare Montparnasse, or from another TGV station like Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle or Massy.

This has already been done with the XV of France rugby.

A service between 20,000 and 30,000 euros

On the question of timetables, it is possible to leave the same evening after the match by privatizing a train, as Nice and Nantes did for their supporters after the final of the Coupe de France last May.

Finally, there is a whole range of services available: adapted catering, transport of luggage to the stadium and even the recovery of players, with the possibility of removing the seats in a car to install massage tables.

Of course, all of this has a cost.

The service adapted to footballers amounts to between 20,000 and 30,000 euros depending on the formula chosen – the equivalent or almost the estimated cost of a trip by private jet.
