The parents of a baby appeared before the criminal court of Orleans (Loiret), this Monday.
They were tried for willful violence committed on their child, reports

In July 2021, suspicious injuries were noted on the baby by doctors from the pediatric department of the CHR d'Orléans.
The infant, then 3 months old, had two fractures to the femur, two to the tibia and one to the left foot.
His 35-year-old mother had originally taken him to hospital for edema in his knee.
They do not explain the origin of the injuries
The child has since been placed.
The mother and her companion, 38 years old, were the subject of a report.
They were to be tried last May, but the trial was postponed.
During the hearing, the parents were unable to explain the origin of their baby's injuries.
But according to the medical examiner quoted by our colleagues, “the fractures are not compatible with an accidental origin”.
They are due to “the violent intervention of a third party”.
Faced with these facts, the court sentenced the two parents to three years in prison, suspended probation for two years, with the obligation to care for and compensate their child.
