The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, against the background of high losses, refuse to carry out combat missions.

This was announced during a briefing on September 6 by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.

“Due to high losses and the cessation of rotation, the personnel of the units of the 53rd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, operating in the Zaitsev region of the Donetsk People’s Republic, refuse to perform combat missions and leave combat positions in groups,” he said.

As noted in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian troops continued their attempts to attack in certain areas of the Nikolaev-Kryvyi Rih direction.

The Russian military responded with strikes against units and reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“In just a day, in the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog direction, the enemy lost 12 tanks, 11 infantry fighting vehicles and eight other armored vehicles, six pickup trucks with heavy machine guns and more than 210 military personnel,” Konashenkov noted.

In particular, the Russian military hit manpower and military equipment at the points of temporary deployment of the 61st Infantry Brigade, the 35th Marine Brigade and the 17th Tank Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Along with this, three depots of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition located in the Nikolaev region were destroyed.

In addition, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Kalibr missiles destroyed a large fuel storage destined for a group of Ukrainian troops in the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog direction.

Also, the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia and air defense systems shot down three Ukrainian Su-25s.

Among other things, in the Artyomovsk region (DPR), up to 250 military personnel and more than ten vehicles and armored vehicles were destroyed as a result of the destruction of temporary deployment points of units of the 54th and 93rd mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Up to 100 militants and 15 units of military equipment were destroyed as a result of a strike on temporary deployment points of the 1st battalion of the 65th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region.

Meanwhile, aviation, missile forces and artillery continue to strike at Ukraine's military infrastructure.

During the day, three command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit, including the 14th mechanized brigade in the Kharkiv region, the command and observation post of the battalion of the 102nd territorial defense brigade in the Zaporozhye region, as well as 52 artillery units, manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 161 districts .

A launcher of the Ukrainian Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed on the territory of the DPR.

During the day, air defense systems shot down 12 drones, and also intercepted a Tochka-U missile and 11 HIMARS rocket launchers.

Situation at ZNPP

The Russian Defense Ministry continues to record the facts of shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and nearby territories by the Ukrainian military.

“During the day, 15 artillery attacks on the city of Energodar and the territory of the Zaporizhzhya NPP were recorded by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In total, Ukrainian artillery fired 20 shells, including three on the territory of the nuclear power plant.

In particular, the first shell hit the roof of special building No. 1, and another one - in the area of ​​​​the transition between special building No. 1 and the second power unit.

The explosion of the third projectile occurred near the tanks for storing distilled water near power unit No. 2.

The department stressed that the artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were suppressed by return fire, the radiation background at the station is normal.

The situation in the DNR and LNR

On the morning of September 6, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire stated that 31 cases of shelling had been recorded on the territory of the republic over the past day. 

During shelling, the enemy used large-caliber artillery of 155 and 152 mm caliber, 120 mm mortars and tanks.

In total, about 158 ​​units of various ammunition were fired in the direction of the DPR.

Under the fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were such settlements as Donetsk, Zaitsevo, Gorlovka, Novobakhmutovka, Novoselovka and Panteleymonovka.

Two civilians were injured, 15 houses and three civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged. 

In turn, the representation of the Lugansk People's Republic over the past day did not record shelling of settlements.

This was announced by the officer of the People's Militia of the LPR Andrey Vitalievich Marochko in his Telegram channel.

He also stated that the military of Ukraine suffered critical losses of personnel and equipment.

Marochko noted that the Ukrainian commanders on the ground have been requesting for the third day to withdraw from the forward positions in Soledar to the previously prepared second line of defense.

Meanwhile, the People's Militia of the LPR over the past day destroyed up to 35 enemy personnel, two tanks, five armored personnel carriers, six units of special vehicles and one firing point.
