A 71-year-old woman was arrested at the end of last week at her home in Dijon (Côte-d'Or).
She is suspected of being the cause of three fires in the building where she lives, in the city center.
The prosecution clarified that the suspect had the status of protected adult.
She is therefore weakened mentally or physically, explains France 3 Bourgogne Franche-Comté.
The septuagenarian under curatorship was placed under judicial supervision and was given a ban on appearing in her building.
She will be tried on October 7 by the criminal court.
She will appear there for the three facts of "deliberate degradation by fire" in her building.
