A dramatic traffic accident occurred Friday evening on departmental road 81, in the Pyrénées-Orientales.

According to our colleagues, the teenager veered to the left with his bike and was hit by a car traveling in the same direction as him.

The boy, of German origin, would have been violently ejected on the road, specifies Actu Perpignan.

The shocked driver

When the firefighters arrived on site, the young holidaymaker was in cardio-respiratory arrest.

He could not be revived by paramedics.

The 19-year-old driver was rescued in shock.

Blood alcohol and narcotics checks carried out by the gendarmes turned out to be negative, reports
