"Sharjah Executive" discusses the needs of residential areas for educational facilities

The Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, in its meeting yesterday, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, discussed many general government issues and reviewed a number of reports on the performance of government departments and bodies, in addition to developments in work on projects. Development in the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.

The council discussed a report on the needs of residential areas in the Emirate of Sharjah for educational facilities, in order to keep pace with the large population growth and the distribution of families in many new areas such as Al-Rahmaniya and Al-Suyoh suburbs.

The report included the population increase in the regions and the current number of existing private and government schools, which require additional numbers to keep pace with the great growth and to provide educational options for students near their homes.

The Council directed, in coordination with the concerned federal and local authorities, to develop solutions to provide educational facilities in the regions of the emirate, in line with future plans and population studies.

The council also discussed a draft law on organizing the Department of Agriculture and Livestock Resources.

After the members of the Council expressed their observations on the items and articles of the draft law, the Council directed to take the observations and complete the legislative session of the law.

The meeting included reviewing the response of the Sharjah Sports Council to the recommendations of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah on discussing the policy of the Sports Council. The response included working to put the recommendations into practice in coordination with the concerned authorities.
