Last year, one person in Tranås and one in Jönköping grabbed electricity contracts with so-called price caps from two different electricity suppliers.

But when they received the invoices for the electricity, it turned out that the price ceiling was not included in the way that the customers had perceived would apply.

The electricity companies, for their part, thought they had done the right thing.

ARN gives customers the right

Both customers appealed to the General Complaints Board, which now gives the customers the right.

In one case, the electricity company is recommended to follow the price ceiling as perceived by the customer, and in the other case, the electricity company is recommended to pay back approximately SEK 11,800, which the customer is estimated to have paid too much.
