Ukrainian troops continue to try to gain a foothold in certain sectors of the front in the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog direction and suffer losses.

This was stated during a briefing on September 5 by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.

As emphasized in the Ministry of Defense, Russian aviation, missile forces and artillery strike at units and reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“In just the past day, during the hostilities in this operational direction, the enemy lost 11 tanks, seven infantry fighting vehicles and eight other armored vehicles, nine pickup trucks with heavy machine guns and more than 220 military personnel,” Konashenkov said during a briefing.

Along with this, Russian troops hit the points of temporary deployment of the 57th motorized infantry brigade in the Nikolaev region with high-precision weapons.

As stated in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in the Kherson region, the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter.

In addition, two depots of rocket-artillery weapons and ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, located in the Nikolaev region, were destroyed, which stored more than 1.5 thousand shells for multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), including more than 200 missiles for US-made HIMARS systems.

Meanwhile, aviation, artillery and missile troops continue to strike at Ukraine's military infrastructure.

More than 30 nationalists and ten units of vehicles were destroyed as a result of a strike on a temporary deployment point of a unit of the nationalist formation "Kraken" in the Kharkov region.

Along with this, on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), concentrated fire strikes on the combat positions of the 81st air assault brigade destroyed up to 20 and wounded more than 50 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the day, six command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit on the territory of the DPR, Kharkiv, Zaporozhye and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as 48 artillery units, manpower and Ukrainian military equipment in 152 districts.

In addition, five depots of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition were destroyed in the DPR, as well as in the Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

It is noted that the HIMARS MLRS launcher was also destroyed in the Kharkiv region.

Air defense systems shot down five drones, including one Bayraktar TB2, as well as four US-made HARM anti-radar missiles.

In addition, 34 HIMARS, Uragan and Vilkha MLRS shells were intercepted in the air.

Situation at ZNPP

The Russian Defense Ministry noted that Kyiv continued its attempts at provocation in order to create a threat of a man-made disaster at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), despite the presence of IAEA experts at the facility.

According to the agency, on September 4, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used an attack drone in the area of ​​​​the nuclear power plant.

Thanks to the actions of Russian electronic warfare equipment, the device lost control and fell a kilometer from the station.

At the same time, during the night, two artillery shelling of Energodar, located not far from the ZNPP, was recorded.

“The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were suppressed by the return fire of Russian artillery.

The radiation situation at the Zaporozhye NPP is normal," the ministry concluded.

The work of the IAEA mission

The administration of the Zaporozhye region said that the IAEA mission left the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (ZNPP).

“They have been given all kinds of assistance.

We are interested in an objective and balanced assessment of the situation at nuclear power plants,” said Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the regional administration.

His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

According to Rogov, two observers remained at the station.

Recall that the IAEA mission arrived at ZNPP on September 1.

The Ukrainian side continues systematic shelling of the object.

As a result of the inspection of the plant, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated that the physical integrity of the Zaporizhzhya NPP was repeatedly violated.

On September 3, the Russian Defense Ministry announced a failed attempt by Ukrainian forces to seize the facility right during the visit of the IAEA mission.

The Defense Ministry reported that on the evening of September 2, a landing force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, numbering up to 250 people, planned to land on the coast of the Kakhovka Reservoir, however, after Russian air strikes, as a result of which 20 boats and boats were destroyed, the Ukrainian transport turned around and left for the coast controlled by Kyiv.

The situation in the DNR and LNR

Ukrainian troops continue shelling the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

On the morning of September 5, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported that over the previous day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had shelled the territory of the republic 40 times, firing 199 units of various ammunition.

Four civilians of the DPR were injured, 18 houses were damaged.

The People's Militia of the DPR reported that the forces of the Donetsk People's Republic, together with the Russian military, destroyed up to 40 enemy personnel, two Ukrainian tanks, two armored personnel carriers, one truck and two units of special vehicles per day.

In the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), meanwhile, they said that in a day the military republics destroyed up to 55 enemy personnel, four armored personnel carriers and six units of special vehicles.
