Russian news agency reported that Chinese President Xi Jinping will make an official visit to Kazakhstan in Central Asia on the 14th of this month.

If Xi visits a foreign country for the first time since the spread of the new coronavirus, he may also attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in neighboring Uzbekistan and meet face-to-face with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Russian news agency reported on the 5th that a spokesman for the Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry said at a press conference that Chinese President Xi Jinping will make an official visit to Kazakhstan on the 14th of this month.



"During the visit, President Xi Jinping will hold a summit meeting with President Tokayev and will also sign documents on cooperation in various fields," the spokesman said.



President Xi has refrained from visiting foreign countries since the spread of the new coronavirus infection around the world two years ago.



In Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan's neighbor, the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a framework led by China and Russia, will be held on the 15th and 16th of this month. There is also the possibility of a face-to-face meeting with President Putin.
