According to WDR, about 400 people took part in the action.

The protesters also called for the lifting of sanctions and the commissioning of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

Earlier, the German newspaper Die Welt admitted that Germany is waiting for the same rallies that could be observed in the Czech Republic the day before, where citizens accused the government of lacking public support amid rising energy prices and rising inflation.

On September 3, a large anti-government rally was held in the center of Prague due to the dissatisfaction of local residents with the measures of the authorities to combat rising gas prices and a general increase in commodity prices.

The protesters demanded the resignation of the current Cabinet, headed by Petr Fiala, by September 25.

Police estimated that at least 70,000 people took to the streets during the rally.
