He had defended it on just about everything during his presidency, but in an interview on Fox News, Bill Barr did not seek to justify the presence of sensitive documents in the residence of Donald Trump in Mar-a-Lago , in Florida.

Donald Trump's former justice minister, Bill Barr, said Friday, September 2 that
the spectacular FBI search
of the former US president's home seemed justified.
It must be said that in addition
to a mass of seized documents
, 48 classified files were found with nothing inside and 42 other empty files were "
given to a military aide
", without further information.
No one knows what was in those documents.
For William Barr, there is no legitimate reason for the former president to have boxes of sensitive, confidential or top secret documents at Mar-a-Lago.

In his defense, Donald Trump said he "
declassified
" these documents, but without providing evidence, which his former Minister of Justice also doubts.
