The giant garage sale in Lille finally found its bargain hunters this weekend, but also political figures, such as Jean-Luc Mélenchon who presented a very incisive back-to-school speech against Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne.

The leader of France Insoumise denounced a "rotten" return to school and back to school.

"It's a popular party, not a political party," said Martine Aubry, the mayor of Lille.

Because after two years of absence, the Braderie de Lille is making a comeback and it attracts the curious, but also political figures.

On Saturday, the leader of France Insoumise Jean-Luc Mélenchon was present for a political return speech in front of 300 to 400 people, mainly young people.

In the Kingdom of China, on a platform installed in the white tent of Nupes, Mélenchon focused his speech on purchasing power and the climate but also on his opposition to the government.

"Enough is enough !"

"Madame Borne, who says that the rebels want chaos. Excuse me madam, but you are the chaos!"

he exclaimed in front of the Lille crowd.

"It is you who have disorganized everything and who continue to do so. It is you who are responsible for this rotten social return, for this back to school that does not work."

"We call for a day of action", a march in Paris, adds the leader of La France insoumise.

"Prepare to mobilize."

Jean-Luc Mélenchon calls for a united left.

"But damn it, we have to be together. We have to spend less time looking at each other sideways. The working class of this country must find the strength to be as strong as the English working class with the same slogan: 'Too much, it's too much !'."

The ex-deputy calls for organized revolt, a duty he specifies.

"No, we are not tired, Mr Macron", insists Jean-Luc Mélenchon before concluding, "you will end up leaving".

Sunday, it is the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin who is expected at 1 p.m. on the sale.
