Rogov said that local residents see who strikes, so they are increasingly in favor of reunification with Russia.

He noted that local citizens sent a letter to the International Atomic Energy Agency demanding that Ukrainian troops stop shelling the ZNPP.

According to Rogov, thousands of people join the local movement “We are together with Russia” because of the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that eight specialists from the International Atomic Energy Agency continue to work at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.

Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Representative of Russia to the UN, said that Russia had requested a meeting of the UN Security Council for September 6 because of the shelling of the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant by the Ukrainian military.

Polyansky added that at the meeting it is planned to listen to the speech of the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, following the visit of the agency's mission to ZNPP.
