China News Service, September 2. According to comprehensive foreign media reports, Kaczynski, the leader of Poland's ruling "Law and Justice" party, said on September 1 that Poland will offer Germany equivalent to about 1.3 trillion US dollars in compensation as Compensation for Nazi Germany's invasion and occupation of Poland during World War II.

According to reports, Kaczynski, leader of Poland's ruling "Law and Justice" party, announced the compensation demand in a report.

"We will negotiate with Germany on reparations," Kaczynski said, a "long and not easy road, but it will be successful one day."

Kaczynski insisted the move would contribute to a "real reconciliation" between Poland and Germany, and that Germany could afford to pay.

The Associated Press pointed out that the Polish government believes that Poland is the "first victim" of the war without adequate compensation, and neighboring Germany is currently one of Poland's main partners in the European Union.

"The German government's position remains unchanged and the issue of compensation is over," a German foreign ministry spokesman said in an email, according to Reuters.

A spokesman for the German foreign ministry added, "Poland abandoned further claims as early as 1953 and confirmed it many times. This is a foundation of today's European order. Germany upholds its political and moral responsibility for World War II."
