This was stated by the head of the administration of Energodar, Alexander Volga, on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel.

“At the moment, eight people (members of the IAEA mission) remain at the nuclear power plant,” he said.

According to Volga, four more people from the UN staff also remained.

He expressed hope for an adequate and objective investigation by the IAEA.

Earlier, Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Representative of Russia to the UN, said that Russia had requested a meeting of the UN Security Council for September 6 because of the shelling of the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant by the Ukrainian military.

Polyansky added that at the meeting it is planned to listen to the speech of the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, following the visit of the agency's mission to ZNPP.
