• Courts The accusation asks to investigate Dina Bousselham for lying to the judge to free Pablo Iglesias from an accusation

  • Appearance Dina Bousselham 'forgives' Iglesias for consulting her card files and not returning it for more than a year

The judge of the National High Court

Manuel García Castellón

has proposed that the commission "of a crime of false accusation and complaint and/or simulation of the crime" be investigated in a court in Alcorcón, for which he holds the former leader of Podemos and former vice president responsible of the Pablo Iglesias Government.

The judge has made this decision within the

Dina case

, which investigates what happened around the memory card of the mobile phone stolen from Dina Bousselham, a former adviser to Iglesias.

In a judge also, in this case to a court in the capital, to investigate her and her partner for a possible crime of false testimony.

The magistrate thus accedes to the request of the popular accusation that the

Association of European Pro Lege Jurists exercises in the National Court.

García Castellón initially opened the case as a branch of

the Villarejo case

, due to a possible operation in which the injured parties were Bousselham and Iglesias, as the content of that stolen card was published in the media.

But the investigation led the judge to another path: Iglesias had taken advantage of the publication of the card data and the theft to present himself as a victim of the State's

sewers

, knowing that the leak came from Podemos itself, the result of an internal war.

Despite the fact that Iglesias knew that it was not true, he urged the legal team of Podemos to denounce in court the leak of the content of the card as a result of the theft of the mobile.

card theft

Thus, from the investigation that the judge of the Hearing is now proposing to the Alcorcón courts, Iglesias and other party members who supposedly knew that it was an internal matter could be charged.

As for the false testimony, Bousselham would have committed it in his explanations to the judge about what data on his card he had shared or not and could be in the hands of other members of Podemos.

The accusation asked to investigate the alleged crimes in the National High Court or, in a subsidiary way, send the material to other competent courts, which are the ones that must now resolve if they open a case.

In his day, Judge García Castellón proposed to the Supreme Court that he investigate Iglesias, but the High Court considered it hasty.

The former vice president is no longer registered, so he could now be charged by an ordinary court.
