“Warships of the Pacific Fleet have begun deployment at sea as part of the Vostok-2022 maneuvers,” the military department said in a Telegram message.
It is noted that more than 50 warships, boats, submarines and vessels of the auxiliary fleet are already operating in the maritime combat training ranges of the Sea of Japan and the Sea of Okhotsk as part of tactical groups at this stage.
During the exercises, the Pacific Fleet, Long-Range Aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Chinese Navy will jointly solve the tasks of anti-ship, air and anti-submarine defense in the Sea of Japan and east of Kamchatka.
Earlier, the Baltic Fleet held a special tactical exercise with communications units in the Kaliningrad region.
